United for Student Excellence (U.S.E.)
United for Student Excellence (U.S.E.) is a youth-centered leadership and healing program designed for systems-impacted youth ages 12–24. Delivered in schools, community centers, and juvenile halls
Weekly healing and leadership circles that create space for reflection, resilience, and growth.
Grounded in ethnic studies, storytelling, and civic education, the program equips young people to explore their identities, elevate their voices, and lead peer-driven advocacy projects.
Youth are trained and employed as facilitators, gaining critical mentorship, job readiness skills, and exposure to college and career pathways.
Rooted in a framework of Healing & Identity and Leadership & SelfDetermination, U.S.E. fosters increased student engagement, reduced disciplinary actions, and a strengthened sense of purpose and leadership.
“Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.”
