United for Student Excellence (U.S.E.)

United for Student Excellence (U.S.E.) is a youth-centered leadership and healing program designed for systems-impacted youth ages 12–24. Delivered in schools, community centers, and juvenile halls

  • Weekly healing and leadership circles that create space for reflection, resilience, and growth.

  • Grounded in ethnic studies, storytelling, and civic education, the program equips young people to explore their identities, elevate their voices, and lead peer-driven advocacy projects.

  • Youth are trained and employed as facilitators, gaining critical mentorship, job readiness skills, and exposure to college and career pathways.

Rooted in a framework of Healing & Identity and Leadership & SelfDetermination, U.S.E. fosters increased student engagement, reduced disciplinary actions, and a strengthened sense of purpose and leadership.
